Suzuki Gixxer Mono Tone Feature Review

It's a contender in the 154.9 cc bike segment named Suzuki Gixxer Mono Tone and though there may be capable rivals like the TVS Apache or the Suzuki has gone all out to hit the Yamaha FZ Version 2.0 with the Gixxer based on the overall performance of this bike. The naked street and aggressive bike look almost make these bikes look like long-lasting and more durable. According to the official specifications, the Gixxer monotone has  more macho feel especially with the well-designed fuel tank and sporty exhaust with dual chrome outlets.

Design & looks

The design and outlooks of Suzuki Gixxer MonoTone is completely different, distinct, and amazing. It is just the street version and naked edition of Gixxer SF where the kits are not added. Fuel tank and the robust body size is almost same and well shaped which gives a bit aggressive look and attractive mood. The dual passengers seating position is almost sporty though like most of the sports bike, it is not split. The tremendous thing is it has alloy wheels and wide tires that are completely adjusted. Finally, needless to say that the bike would be chosen at first sight due to aggressive and sporty looks.

Engine Performance

 Suzuki is the leading and most efficient two-wheeler manufacturer in Japan though Suzuki Gixxer used to be assembled in Bangladesh the engine is made in Japan. So, there should be no doubt about the quality of the engine which is comparatively better. Suzuki has used 154.9 cc powerful engine displacement with relevant bore and stroke ratio for Gixxer which consists of four-stroke, SOHC, air-cooled where the engine can generate 14.8 HP @ 8000 rpm and can generate max power with 14 Nm @ 6000 rpm max torque. Havingthe five-speed manual gearbox, the bike can run more than 125 km per hour with around 2.5 Liter fuel easily without any vibration.

Suspension & Brakes

There is a monotonous thing that suspensions of the bike is relatively same as Gixxer SF where in front portion, telescopic forks is used which is better and for rear wheel, swingarm with mono-shock suspension is used to this bike. The suspension looks like very sporty and due to mono-shock, the bike would steady during top speed. And the braking system is also quite better which is combined with dual disc brakes where 266 mm disc in front and 240 mm disc in rear. Even if disc and drum braking combination of Gixxer is also available in the showroom.

Instrument Panel & Features

 The instrument console of Suzuki Gixxer MonoTone is completely digitally arranged which consists of an orange color display. Several distinct and stylish features are added including speedometer, tachometer, clock, trip meter, fuel gauge and some others.

Mileage

As like as most of the sports bikes, Gixxer also provides ideal mileage performance. According to the different motorcycle riders opinion, it provides with more than 45 km mileage average. The mileage is standard enough to satisfy any rider.

Dimensions & seating position

 It seems that Suzuki Gixxer MonoTone is a bit small bike comparatively though the requirement of most of the bike lovers. It is a bit wide in shape for this reason it looks small in length. The overall length of the bike is ideal in nature and that is 2050 mm, width is 785 mm and height is 1030 mm. Being a bit small seated bike, only two persons can easily ride on it. It’s ground clearance is a bit lower which is 160 mm. There is a one marvelous thing is; fuel tank of the bike can contains 12 liter and the kerb weight of the bike is 135 kg.

Due to better design and standard braking system, during top speed, the kits used to cross air nicely and riders would not face any problems while riding on it.
